The organizer of «2012 CRM Executive Summit» was one of the biggest marketing agencies of the USA MERKLE. Nowadays the agency is included into six  the largest CRM (Customer Relationship Marketing) agencies of the world and it is the leading supplier of marketing services in USA. Summit was from the 6th till 8th of June 2012 in New Orleans, Louisiana state.

Every year Merkle company defines new city for carrying out the summit, for example in 2011 Summit took place in San Diego, California state. In 2012 small southern city New Orleans was chosen, the population of which is 380 thousand people. The theme of this year summit was «Creating Sustainable Competitive Advantage through Customer Strategy as a Business Strategy».

The president of Russian Marketing and Advertising Agency Vadim Tylik acted on the Summit as the only representative of Russian market of advertizing and marketing.

Vadim Tylik comments «2012 CRM Executive Summit»:

Our partnership with American agency becomes more and more interesting. The interest of the western brands to the Russian market grows, and we are very glad to that fact that it is «RMAA Group» which is the output point for global brands to Russian market. 

In February 2012 our American partners visited the head office of Russian Marketing and Advertising Agency in Khabarovsk, that is why I was informed about the forthcoming Summit in advance, and in April 2012 after a number of co-projects I received the official invitation. I decided that we necessary should take part in such international event because Merkle agency becomes one of the main strategic partners of «Russian Marketing and Advertising Agency». 

On the 5th of June, a day before the Summit, the Merkle agency organized a dinner of all international partners, who support clients of agency abroad. There were about 15 partners at the meeting from such countries as China, Great Britain, Germany, Canada and, of course, Russia which was represented by me.

On the days of Summit, from the 6th till the 8th of June every participants of the Summit could choose the theme, which he is interested in, and visit the corresponding session.

The presentation of co-project of Motorolla and Merkle companies was very interesting for me, where Melissa Grady - the director of electronic commerce Motorolla and Megan Pagliusa – Vice-President of Display Media, opened all secrets of advertizing campaign of start up of new product of Motorolla company. Accessory named MOTOACTV with the functions of the clock and a player in one case. The gadget works under control of the Android operating system, is equipped with the touch display, where the information about calls and SMS messages is depicted, with Bluetooth adapter, a MP3 player and FM radio. Unfortunately, the format of this article won't allow me to open the contents of the whole presentation, that is why I will be glad to share additional information on e-mail.

Among the speakers of the Summit were Jay Handerson – IBM, Global Strategy Director, John Nicoletti – GOOGLE, Director of Agency Development, Fatemeh Khatibloo – FORRESTER (Global Marketing Research) Senior Analyst and many others recognized world professionals. 

During the Summit I succeed to meet and personally communicate with marketing directors of such companies as Motorolla, Life Line Screening, 1800flowers.com, Schneider Electric and many others global brands. Global brand are interested in Russian market. I directed negotiations, where I presented marketing possibilities of RMAA in Russia, made a disclosure about  specific features of our local market. 

Dipping in such international “party” is priceless experience for me and the whole Russian Marketing and Advertising Agency.

It`s impossible not to mention the difference in the approach to the promotion of brands in Russia and USA. There are differences between Russian approach and Western one. Actually because of this reason Merkle actively cooperates with our company in Russia, because it`s impossible to be professional in all markets. 

Certainly, such international events give us opportunity to raise and move forward to our professional purposes and ambitions.
