An example of successful non-standard advertising is the campaign of the Russian mobile operator MTS, promoting standard of 4G mobile Internet.

They used an optical motion illusion to show a much higher data transmission rate.

In the ad which was demonstrated in every movie before the start of the feature, red dots of various size were flying towards the viewers. There was a 3G sign in the middle. Off-screen voice suggested the participants to cover this sign with the movie ticket, having 4G sign printed on one side. As soon as the viewer did it he had the feeling that the speed of red particles on the screen increased drastically.
