DOOH Game Promotion in Russia Case Study

Goal

Build communication with Genshin Impact users outside the online space.

Background

Genshin Impact is an online game created by Chinese developer miHoYo. Genshin Impact is very popular in Russia: over 2.5 million Russian users searched Yandex for "Genshin Impact" in July 2021, and over 2.6 million in August 2021.

Goal

Our main task was to build communication with Genshin Impact`s users out of the Internet space.

Solution

In order to increase brand awareness, it was decided to place game advertising for one day on facades in Moscow and St. Petersburg. We selected several media facades in Moscow and St. Petersburg and, in a short time, organized Genshin Impact ads placement on them.

This one-day Out of Home campaign was also used by the client for PR purposes in different international markets, to showcase the power of the game among its global audience.

Results

Over the course of a single day, the advertisement was seen by 68,000 people in Moscow and 122,000 people in St. Petersburg
