Immersion into Japanese Culture as a Tool of Promotion in the Russian Market

Goal

Comprehensive production support for the Tea Ceremony event at the 2018–2019 Year of Japan in Russia — delivered on time and flawlessly.

Background

JAPAN-RUSSIAN TRAVEL SERVICE agency in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Russia.

Goal

The main task was comprehensive assistance in organising the Tea Ceremony held in the Botanic Physic Garden of Moscow State University on March 22–24, as part of the 2018–2019 Year of Japan in Russia. The remit covered a wide range of functions, from mounting the Tea House — the key element of the event — to water delivery. The core requirement was that the project be delivered on time and without a single hitch.

Actions taken by the RMAA Group team during preparation and delivery of the event:

  1. Participation in organising the Tea House structure mounting;
  2. Support in recruiting technical and service staff;
  3. Provision of properties and delivery of all items;
  4. Provision of seats for event organisers and guests on all days of the event;
  5. Preparation of a backline for audio accompaniment of the Tea Ceremony;
  6. Creation of conditions for unimpeded access to water on all days of the event.

During the events, guests enjoyed master classes conducted by the founder and First President of the Ikenobo School in Russia, Omote Senke tea ceremony master Yamada Midori and her students.

Results

Despite multiple rescheduling of works, our agency managed to fulfil all tasks without any loss of quality. Both the Japanese agency and the Embassy of Japan in Russia appreciated the client-oriented approach and prompt work of the RMAA Group team.
