Koltsovo International Airport (SVX) is the airport of Yekaterinburg and the largest in the Urals by passenger traffic. It handled 8.3 million passengers in 2025, a 3.8% increase on the prior year (Aeroporty Regionov results; Expert, February 2026). Part of the growth came from international leisure demand, including a 29% rise in Antalya traffic after a new foreign carrier entered the route (Aeroporty Regionov, January 2026). City Description
Yekaterinburg is the administrative and industrial capital of the Urals, generating year-round corporate travel from manufacturing, metals and services companies. The city also anchors exhibition and conference activity that adds event-driven passenger peaks to the schedule. Koltsovo lies southeast of the city with road access from Yekaterinburg and surrounding industrial towns, so its terminal reaches both metropolitan residents and regional business travellers.
