Airport Description

Gagarin International Airport (GSV) is the airport of Saratov, opened in 2019 as a fully new construction and named after the first cosmonaut. It handled over 1.0 million passengers in 2025, with more than 1.0 million on domestic routes and 44,600 on international routes, across 8,300+ takeoff and landing operations (AviaPort citing airport results, January 2026). The airport linked Saratov with 14 cities during 2025. RMAA Agency arranges advertising placements at Gagarin Airport.

City Description

Saratov is an administrative and university centre on the lower Volga with travel demand oriented strongly toward Moscow and seasonal southern destinations, as reflected in the 2025 route list spanning Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan and Kaliningrad (AviaPort, January 2026). Because Gagarin is the region's single scheduled-service airport, its terminal reaches nearly the entire local flying audience. The airport is located north of the city with road transfer from Saratov and Engels.
