About the role

We're looking for a project manager for digital campaigns that international brands run in Russia and the CIS.

This isn't a classic account manager role built around maintaining the relationship, and it isn't a coordinator role either, where you pass tasks between the client and specialists.

At RMAA Agency, a project manager digs into the request, understands what the client actually needs, builds the solution with the team, and owns the project end to end, from the first brief and budget estimate to delivery and the final report.

The main focus is on performance projects, so we need someone with a practical understanding of performance advertising who can work confidently with our paid search specialist and other experts. The role is broader than performance: depending on the project, it also covers influencer marketing, social media, and other digital areas.

Clients often know their business goals well but little about the local advertising market. Sometimes the request is already very specific; sometimes it needs clarifying or rethinking first. So a key part of the job is not just to take a brief but to understand the context, ask the right questions, and, together with our specialists, turn the request into a realistic and effective solution.

What You'll Do

Understand Client RequestsSee the task behind the initial brief, clarify what's missing and propose a better-fitting solution when needed.
Run Performance ProjectsWork with paid-search and paid-social specialists: set tasks, review media plans and campaign results, understand how the metrics move and explain that to the client. You won't set up campaigns yourself.
Run Other Digital ProjectsDepending on the client: influencer marketing, SMM, special projects or a combination.
Manage the Team, Contractors and the ClientControl deadlines, budgets, agreements and changes. Know what's going on with the client and inside the team, where the risks are and what the next step should be.
Work With NumbersBuild and update estimates and media plans in Google Sheets / Airtable, track budget changes and make sure the calculations add up.
Structure InformationNot retell what happened but state it briefly: what happened → what matters → is there a problem → what we propose → what decision is needed.
Oversee the Financial and Document SideA lawyer and a document specialist handle the formal part, but the manager understands the financial logic of their project and answers for its integrity.

What Really Matters to Us

  • experience running digital or advertising projects
  • practical understanding of performance advertising and the main tools: Yandex Direct, VK Ads, Telegram Ads or similar
  • understanding of core metrics: CPM, CPC, CTR, CPUR, CPA/CPL, conversions and cost per result
  • experience working with clients and with specialists inside a team
  • running several projects at once without losing changes, numbers and agreements
  • running several projects at once without losing changes, numbers and agreements
  • confident work with Google Sheets and budgets
  • English C1 or higher, all client communication is in English
  • quickly getting into a new situation, making decisions and proposing the next step

Your previous job title doesn't matter: Account Manager, Project Manager, Client Service Manager, Producer or a similar role. Agency experience is a big plus but not a formal requirement.

What Really Matters to Us

  • you're more comfortable receiving a ready task statement and detailed instructions
  • project management for you is mainly task tracking and passing information between the client and the doers
  • many changing inputs, numbers, budgets and document versions are hard for you
  • when a problem comes up you wait for a manager's decision rather than work out the situation and propose options
  • you have no practical understanding of performance advertising yet

We have processes, templates and tools and we keep developing them. But because projects are so varied, they help the manager work faster. They don't replace the need to think and make decisions.

Format and Pay

Fully remote. Where you live doesn't matter. What matters is working with the team from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Moscow time (UTC+3), Monday through Friday.

We expect high engagement, speed and efficiency during the working day. Evenings and weekends are the team's personal time; night shifts and weekend work are not part of our culture.

We actively use modern tools and AI and change our processes when a more effective way to work appears.

We pay a competitive, market-level salary. The specific amount is discussed individually after the interview.
