About the role

We're looking for a project manager for media campaigns that international brands run in Russia and the CIS.

This isn't a classic account manager role built around maintaining the relationship, and it isn't a coordinator role either, where you pass tasks between the client and the media buyers.

At RMAA Agency, a project manager digs into the request, understands what the client actually needs, builds the media solution with the team, and owns the project end to end, from the first brief and budget estimate to campaign launch and the final report.

The main focus is on out-of-home and traditional media: billboards and DOOH, airport and transit advertising, TV, radio, and print. You work closely with our media buyers and planners; depending on the project, the role can also extend to digital formats.

Clients often know their business goals well but little about the local media market. Sometimes the request is already very specific; sometimes it needs clarifying or rethinking first. So a key part of the job is not just to take a brief but to understand the context, ask the right questions, and, together with our specialists, turn the request into a realistic and effective media plan.

What You'll Do

Understand Client RequestsSee the task behind the initial brief, clarify what's missing and propose a better-fitting media solution when needed.
Run Media CampaignsWork with our media buyers and planners: set tasks, review media plans, inventory options and post-campaign reports, understand what the numbers mean and explain them to the client. You won't negotiate every placement yourself.
Work Across FormatsOutdoor and DOOH, airports and transport, TV, radio and print, or a combination of them depending on the client.
Manage the Team, Contractors and the ClientControl deadlines, budgets, agreements and changes. Know what's going on with the client and inside the team, where the risks are and what the next step should be.
Work With NumbersBuild and update estimates and media plans in Google Sheets / Airtable, track budget changes and discounts, and make sure the calculations add up.
Control DeliveryTrack approvals, creative deadlines, placement photo reports and airtime reports, and flag deviations before the client notices them.
Oversee the Financial and Document SideA lawyer and a document specialist handle the formal part, but the manager understands the financial logic of their project and answers for its integrity.

What Really Matters to Us

  • experience running media or advertising projects
  • practical understanding of offline media: OOH/DOOH, TV, radio or print planning and buying
  • understanding of core media metrics: reach, frequency, GRP/TRP, OTS, CPM and cost per contact
  • experience working with clients and with media buyers or contractors inside a team
  • running several projects at once without losing changes, numbers and agreements
  • confident work with Google Sheets and budgets
  • English C1 or higher, all client communication is in English
  • quickly getting into a new situation, making decisions and proposing the next step

Your previous job title doesn't matter: Account Manager, Project Manager, Client Service Manager, Producer or a similar role. Agency experience is a big plus but not a formal requirement.

Probably Not for You If

  • you're more comfortable receiving a ready task statement and detailed instructions
  • project management for you is mainly task tracking and passing information between the client and the media buyers
  • many changing inputs, numbers, budgets and document versions are hard for you
  • when a problem comes up you wait for a manager's decision rather than work out the situation and propose options
  • you have no practical understanding of media planning or buying yet

We have processes, templates and tools and we keep developing them. But because projects are so varied, they help the manager work faster. They don't replace the need to think and make decisions.

Format and Pay

Fully remote. Where you live doesn't matter. What matters is working with the team from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Moscow time (UTC+3), Monday through Friday.

We expect high engagement, speed and efficiency during the working day. Evenings and weekends are the team's personal time; night shifts and weekend work are not part of our culture.

We actively use modern tools and AI and change our processes when a more effective way to work appears.

We pay a competitive, market-level salary. The specific amount is discussed individually after the interview.
