About the Role
RMAA Agency is a cross-border marketing agency. We help foreign brands reach Russian-speaking audiences in Russia, the CIS, Central Asia and the Balkans: OOH and media buying, influencer marketing, performance and programmatic. Most of our clients come from Asia and the Middle East: Netmarble, AirAsia, Dilmah, Poizon and others. The team is fully remote and works on Moscow time.
Why We're Hiring
We run two content streams on russia-promo.com, and both need to come out regularly, in English, at the level of serious industry agencies:
- Blog: long reads on the markets of Russia and the CIS, industry overviews and breakdowns of advertising tools.
- White papers: large data-driven reports that clients download in exchange for their contact details.
We need one person to own all of this end to end. Not an editor-in-chief with five writers, but a player-coach: you write the key pieces yourself, gather the data yourself, brief the designer and freelancers yourself, and get the facts out of our accounts and media buyers yourself. For you, AI is a working tool, not a topic for debate.
Speed and volume matter to us. There should be a lot of content, and it should come out regularly without any drop in quality. We'll discuss specific numbers and cadence at the interview.
What You'll Do
| Own the Content Plan | Run the content plan for both streams and be responsible for regular publishing. |
| Write and Edit | Write in English yourself. Edit what others write. |
| Dig Up the Facts | Interview our specialists and work with open market sources: AKAR (the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia), Mediascope releases, platform reports, Similarweb, Wordstat and more. |
| Build Analytical Pieces | Structure, data, conclusions and recommendations for brands. The level we're aiming for: the research published by rore.group. |
| Use AI at Every Stage | Gathering and structuring data, drafts, fact-checking, adapting content for each channel. We expect you to be able to build such a process, not just use a chat. |
| Bring In Outside Help | Writers, a designer, a native English speaker for proofreading and, when needed, data contractors. Write the briefs and accept the work. |
| Distribute | LinkedIn, the newsletter, external platforms, and preparing materials for the Chinese and Korean versions of the site. |
Who We're Looking For
- 4+ years in B2B content: an agency, SaaS, IT services, consulting or a research company
- you have run a corporate blog as its owner: content plan, editorial policy, work with experts
- you have published at least one data-driven piece: a white paper, an industry report or a market overview
- English C1+; you have written or edited for an international audience (we'll check with a test assignment)
- you understand the advertising market or will get into it quickly: CPM, OTS, CTR, programmatic and DOOH raise no questions
- you actively use AI in your work and can show exactly how
- you can do the work yourself and organize others at the same time, and you don't get lost without a team reporting to you
- you're used to a fast pace: many pieces in progress at once, and you hit your deadlines
Nice to have: experience creating content for markets outside Russia, publications on external platforms, basic infographics in Figma or Canva, SEO in English.
Not a Fit
- SMM as your main experience
- copywriting for landing pages
- journalism
- Russian-language projects only
- management only, without writing yourself
What We Offer
- fully remote, Monday to Friday on Moscow time
- a fixed salary, discussed after the interview; special terms become available once you've settled in on the standard ones and shown results
- working directly with the founder; decisions are made fast
- a budget for contractors and tools, including paid AI services
- topics few people write about in English: the markets of Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan through the eyes of a foreign brand. Your work will be read by marketing directors in Seoul, Dubai and Shanghai
How Selection Works
- A short call with our recruiter.
- A test assignment: a plan for one white paper (structure, sources and three key takeaways) and a short blog article in English on a topic we set. The test assignment is paid.
- A conversation with the founder.
Apply with links to 2–3 pieces you wrote yourself, at least one of them in English. CVs without links are reviewed second. Contact: hr@rmaa.agency
